I’m glad we have a few more weeks to gather data, because it seems like there are so many days where we don’t have school, have a special speaker during math, or something else is going on and we don’t have class. I was a little stressed out when I thought data collecting would be done on November 6th, because I didn’t feel like I would have enough, even though apparently it’s not about the amount of data, for some reason the thought of I need more gets stuck in my head.
The question this week was really good for me because I had no idea where to start when it came to making sense of my data. I envisioned myself sitting in my dining room at my kitchen table with papers all over thinking, “Where do I even start?” Now I have a starting point and have already started instead of waiting. I think I would’ve been completely overwhelmed if I would have waited.I really like Genevieve’s idea of putting a 1, 2, or 3 on information for needed, maybe, or not needed because I feel like I shouldn’t just get rid of any data, because what if I go through it again and realize it is actually useful to me. I think I would need to use y, m, and n for yes, maybe, and no because I would keep going back and checking what the 1, 2, and 3 stood for because I’m one of those people that has to double and triple check that type of stuff.
